Benefitting the Regional Newborn Center at The Children's Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center
On Sunday, September 21st over 350 people came to the Ocean Front in Long Branch and raised over $65,000 for the Regional Newborn Center at Monmouth Medical Center! Congratulations to the many walkers, strollers and 4 legged friends who joined us for this 2nd Annual Event!
Photos from the event can be found online at http://www.billstorerphotography.com/ on Sept. 26th.
In September 2007, patients of the Regional Newborn Center (RNC) at The Children's Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center were the benefactors of the inaugural Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Walk, which kicked off on The Great Lawn, at the Pier Village, Long Branch.
Supported by the staff of the RNC and Monmouth Medical Center Foundation, the 2007 event celebrated the very special graduates of Monmouth's renowned RNC and drew more than 400 walkers.

In 2008, Monmouth's RNC is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Monmouth opened the Regional Newborn Center in 1968, becoming the first hospital in New Jersey and the first community hospital in the country to establish a newborn intensive care unit. Immediately following the walk, please join us for the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Regional Newborn Center, which will be held on the Monmouth Medical Center campus located at 300 Second Avenue in Long Branch, just a few blocks from Pier Village.
Today, the RNC is a state-designated regional perinatal center, the busiest and largest of its kind in Monmouth and Ocean counties, treating more than 500 infants each years from throughout central New Jersey. The RNC has a full array of highly sophisticated technology, and the caregivers focus on responding to a premature or high-risk infant's needs in a precisely measured and appropriate manner.
